Article Summary Response

What is it?
In an effort to guide your research for your research paper you are required to find one article every two weeks in a city-wide, national, or international paper. Be selective when choosing your article; do not waste time with articles that will not be helpful for your research topic. This means you may have to skim through a number of articles before you find the right one.

 How do I do it?
Choose an article that is both interesting to you and informative as you will be required to share what you have found in class.
Once you have chosen your article you will:
  • Need to have a hard copy (this will be kept in your research folder in class)
  • Summarize the article: Who, What, Where, When, Why, How
  • Explain the POV (if there is one)
  • Write a reaction to the article (example: do you agree/disagree, predictions you have, suggestions, etc.)
Explain how the article helps you answer your initial research questions and what questions come up for you after reading the article.
